The Matrix8 Intelligent Logistics Software System
Matrix8-HETU is the intelligent scheduling hub of the Matrix8 system, responsible for scheduling execution along with operations and maintenance management. It covers every operating process in the warehouse and supports a wide range of B2B and B2C business models. Designed for integrated management of complex systems, it enables rapid integration of comprehensive automation and sophisticated robots, one-stop planning, and the entire flow from simulation to maintenance to operations, driving capability innovation across the logistics and supply chain industry and bringing together human-machine collaboration and intelligent IoT.
The system architecture is clearly layered, with well-defined responsibilities, and three engines — i-WMS, WES, and TES — deliver a leap in system performance. The Matrix8 i-WMS intelligent decision engine handles order receipt, allocation, consolidation and splitting, and priority adjustment, along with real-time inventory monitoring and alerts. The Matrix8-WES task execution engine handles dynamic location management, intelligent wave optimization, and inbound and outbound strategy optimization. The Matrix8-TES heterogeneous scheduling engine handles task and capacity allocation and real-time, dynamically optimized route planning.

The Matrix8 intelligent logistics software system delivers highly efficient collaborative intelligence — from wave consolidation, location optimization, and load balancing to multi-robot coordination, route planning, and task scheduling — efficiently coordinating more than a thousand heterogeneous devices. With dozens of built-in AI algorithms, it drives globally optimal efficiency across orders, containers, and machines, and uses deep learning algorithms to keep optimizing itself dynamically.
The Matrix8 system offers three advantages: intelligent efficiency (30% denser locations, 20% higher operating efficiency, and 60% better equipment utilization); stability and reliability (self-healing from exceptions, high-standard recovery, and 99.9% overall system availability); and ease of integration (pre-sales simulation, minimalist APIs, and secondary-development tools). Together they deliver stronger algorithms, more complete functionality, higher warehouse efficiency, and a user-friendly interface for customers.
The Pallet Shuttle
Business today faces more changes, and faster ones, so logistics systems must respond in time. Flexible logistics solutions with low initial investment, rapid delivery, and scalable expansion are becoming the mainstream. ATOMIX therefore introduced its intelligent pallet shuttle system to create a new generation of flexible pallet logistics. It is characterized by discrete equipment and distributed control, so it can be combined and expanded on demand like building blocks. Unlike conventional automation that only works along fixed paths, a pallet shuttle can travel the entire warehouse, and the fleet can be scaled up or down as demand shifts between peak and off seasons or as the business grows. The distributed control architecture not only provides system redundancy but also lets any single pallet shuttle be handled in isolation when a problem occurs, without causing a system-wide failure.
ATOMIX's intelligent pallet shuttle system combines the strategic algorithms of the ATOMIX robotics platform with the multiple advantages of its intelligent software, using artificial intelligence to make the pallet shuttle significantly smarter. The system not only achieves high-density storage but also, through precise and efficient software scheduling, supports high-throughput flows, greatly improving warehouse operating efficiency. The hardware performs just as well, including the matched lifts and other equipment that ensure efficient hardware performance across the system. This close coordination of software and hardware gives the ATOMIX pallet shuttle system its best overall efficiency, and it is now widely used across industries and niche scenarios.
The Pallet Shuttle hardware is ultra-thin (125 mm body), ultra-fast (1.5 m/s no-load speed, 2 m/s² no-load acceleration, and ±2 mm positioning accuracy), ultra-stable (a platform of thousands of proven robots and mechanical structures, operating in temperatures from -30 °C to 40 °C), ultra-safe (laser sensors for fully autonomous obstacle avoidance), and ultra-enduring (charging in ≤1.5 hours, with ≥8 hours of runtime under rated conditions).
The Pallet AMR
The Pallet AMR is used mainly in warehousing and industrial settings. In warehousing it handles transport in the pre-storage area, transport between storage zones, and goods-to-person picking transport; in industrial settings it handles production line replenishment and transport between production lines. It helps companies improve logistics efficiency and reduce costs.
The ATOMIX Pallet AMR stands out for its craftsmanship, intelligence, and safety. It has the industry's best payload-to-volume ratio, with more than 95% of its design built to high-precision industrial standards. Its two-stage chassis adapts better to floor conditions, and a proprietary SoC module delivers high-precision intelligent control. It uses QR code and laser SLAM navigation, reaches 2.25 m/s (no-load speed) and 2 m/s² (no-load acceleration), and provides layered protection through laser, emergency stop, bumper, and scheduling safeguards for all-around safety.
3. ATOMIX Core Products
The Matrix8 intelligent storage and picking platform comprises three subsystem products: Matrix8S (hybrid storage), Matrix8H (hybrid transport), and Matrix8P (hybrid picking). Each subsystem can stand alone to automate storage, transport, or picking respectively, and they can also be combined to better meet the automation needs of customers and integrators across different scenarios.

The Matrix8S hybrid storage subsystem is one of the core products of the ATOMIX Matrix8 high-density storage and picking platform. It consists mainly of the Pallet Shuttle, the Pallet AMR, the Bin Six-Way Shuttle, and the Bin AMR, and can store mixed containers at different levels — pallets, racks, roll cages, and bins — while handling all kinds of irregular items. The distinctive selling point of ATOMIX Matrix8 hybrid storage is that it delivers high throughput while meeting high-density storage requirements for palletized and case goods. In the projects we have implemented, pallet throughput reaches up to 1,000 pallets/hour, thanks largely to our AI-enabled software.
The Matrix8 hybrid transport subsystem makes it easy to run multiple types of heterogeneous robots together in the same space. The Matrix8 hybrid transport system can be applied to inbound and outbound transport in the pre-storage area, long-distance transport and replenishment tasks between storage zones, and picking supply transport in goods-to-person scenarios. The Matrix8 intelligent scheduling system plays to the strengths of each type of robot, maximizing the transport capacity of the system.
The Matrix8 hybrid picking subsystem provides one-stop picking of materials in different specifications, sizes, and storage forms, unifies 2B and 2C business processes, and optimizes the length, time, and staffing of the entire picking flow, meeting every operating requirement of split-case picking scenarios and ultimately maximizing picking efficiency.
The Matrix8 intelligent storage and picking platform has four core advantages: extreme density, extreme efficiency, flexible scalability, and easy module integration. Overall, it combines strong warehouse space management with support for very high pallet and case throughput, while also ensuring comprehensive and outstanding picking efficiency.
The Matrix8 intelligent storage and picking platform can be configured flexibly to business needs, like “building blocks.” Because all equipment is flexible, solution modules can be configured, added, or removed based on goods types, inventory levels, and throughput to enable rapid deployment. It is fully compatible across pallet, bin, and single-item storage and picking, so one platform can match a wide range of scenarios.
4. New Pallet Shuttle
The product launched in 2025 focuses on the ultimate in safety, stability, and efficiency, achieving breakthrough upgrades in three core technologies.
