As early as 2019, Sinopharm Group Guangzhou accelerated its digital transformation and worked with ATOMIX to successively upgrade the Dongguan warehouse, the Zhanjiang warehouse, the Guangzhou logistics center and the Foshan warehouse, promoting efficient logistics operations and driving down costs while raising efficiency in logistics. Over four years the two sides cooperated four times, continuously exploring the value of AI in the pharmaceutical field and applying "AI + automation" technology in the numerous and complex pharmaceutical distribution scenarios, thereby achieving more flexible and agile process optimization. With ATOMIX's smart logistics solution, the Sinopharm Group Guangzhou logistics center completed its digital and intelligent upgrade without halting operations or demolishing and rebuilding, and its overall efficiency improved significantly.
Supporting Sinopharm Guangzhou's digital upgrade
On December 29, 2022, the blue paper "New Entities Made Digital: Case Studies on Digital Technology Empowering the Real Economy (2022)", jointly written by People's Daily Online and the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), was officially released to the public. After screening, the first batch of 100 cases entered the case library and were publicly displayed across the internet, of which 14 practical cases with industry typicality and advancedness were selected for the blue paper. The companies selected include Lenovo Group, Tianyi Cloud (China Telecom Cloud) and China Unicom; ATOMIX's "Case Study: Helping Sinopharm Group Guangzhou Upgrade Its Digital and Intelligent Operations" was selected on the strength of its no-shutdown, no-rebuild approach and the outstanding results achieved after the upgrade.
